Khadijah Holiday

Mt. Morris Alternative High School is proud to recognize Khadijah Holiday as our October 2011 Mt. Morris School Board Student of the Month.

Khadijah first attended Northwestern High School prior to enrolling into Mt. Morris Alternative High School in September 2010. Khadijah enrolled into the Mt. Morris Alternative program to catch up on graduation requirements. Khadijah is currently a Junior in our program and is making quick progress towards her goals. She is expected to graduate in June of 2012.

After graduation, Khadijah plans to enroll into college to study criminal justice. She plans on pursuing an education in law to eventually opening her own law practice.

Khadijah currently resides with her mother, Ms. Charlotte Jones. She has an older brother, Derrick Ward who is currently attending college and studying pharmacology. She says that she is not quite ready to leave her mother just yet!

Khadijahs’ teachers have all commented that her hard work and determination are responsible for her achievements. Words used to describe Khadijah are goal oriented, passionate, and dedicated. Khadijah plans for the future. She is consistent and extremely diligent in the classroom. In her free time, she writes poetry. Recently, she took first place in the Peace Day Essay contest sponsored by University of Michigan – Flint. Khadijah also takes part in many school activities. She demonstrates leadership daily by her actions in and out of the classroom.

We wish Khadijah the best in all of her future endeavors!
